Jim Parsons, the actor perhaps best known as uber-nerd Sheldon Cooper on CBS’The Big Bang Theory, has announced that he’ll star in a Broadway play next year.

Parsons who, by the way, is almost 40, even though he looks about 12 years old will appear in a production of Harvey, Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play about a man who imagines he has a six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit friend, named — What else? — Harvey. Parsons has won two Emmy Awards playing the eccentric Sheldon, so playing another eccentric character shouldn’t be a problem for him. Hell be joined in the show by Jessica Hecht and Charles Kimbrough.

Harvey’s limited season is due to kick off in mid-June and run through to early August, during The Big Bang Theory’s summer hiatus — which means Jim won’t have to take much time out from the sitcom to star in the play. Unfortunately the actor probably won’t be adding a Tony Award to his collection of Emmys — the timing of the play means it’s unlikely he’ll be eligible for the coveted theater award.

Parsons made his Broadway debut earlier this year in Larry Kramers play The Normal Heart.

One of the most famous of all Jewish actresses is Fran Drescher. Born Francine Joy Drecsher in 1957, Fran has made a huge splash on both television and the big screen. Her newest television sitcom, Happily Divorced, is based on the true story of her marriage and divorce with Peter Marc Jacobson who came out of the closet after eighteen years of marriage.

The true story behind the show is a touching tribute to true love in its purest form. Even when two people what different things in life does not mean that they are not indeed soul mates. This is one thing that Fran and Peter put out there for their viewers.
